About the workplace

Domestic violence is in many ways a focus both in the city of Helsingborg and at the national level.

A family peace center is being established in Helsingborg, which takes a comprehensive approach to domestic violence, honor-related violence, as well as human trafficking and prostitution. The family peace center will work preventively against violence, coordinating a cohesive legal process, as well as providing sheltered housing, support, and interventions. The work of the family peace center is based on an individual and family perspective where we work according to the needs of the individual and the family. As an employee within the authority part, you will have close collaboration with the family peace center, where you will work with others who are also specialists.

Job Responsibilities

As an employee in the domestic violence group, you will have both a fun and varied job with both adults and, to some extent, children who in some way live in a context that involves domestic violence. This is primarily a position responsible for handling adult cases. You will also have access to two team leaders for the best support in your daily work.

As a social worker, you will work with investigations regarding the need for protection for adults based on exposure to violence, propose interventions, and follow up and evaluate them. You will also need to have close cooperation with child handlers, parents, and other colleagues in the domestic violence unit as well as the sheltered housing.

Qualifications

To manage this specific assignment, you need to have;

• A degree in social work
• Many years of experience in social work and good knowledge of the Social Services Act.
• Several years of experience in authority exercise, preferably against victims of violence.
• Interest, good knowledge, and experience of working with domestic violence.
• Ability to work analytically, reflectively, and process-oriented together with your colleagues in the team with a good structure.
• Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing.
• Driver's license and ability to drive a car

It is meritorious if you have knowledge and experience of:

• MI (Motivational Interviewing), Signs of Safety, and the operational system Lifecare

As a person, we would like you to have:

A genuine interest in the target group and be a communicative person. You are skilled at building relationships and have a clear and respectful approach, as well as an understanding of children and adults in situations of violence.

In your work, you will be the social worker for the adult but will also meet the parent(s) based on the child's care needs. This means that you need to be secure in yourself and have good self-awareness and collaboration skills.

Furthermore, you are solution-focused and flexible in thought, action, and working hours.
