Within the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Bup) inpatient care, there are two wards and one emergency department that are region-wide. Ward 2 offers ten inpatient places with highly specialized care for children and young people with eating disorders. We use evidence-based treatment methods in accordance with national care and intervention programs. We are keen to maintain a high level of competence and new skills regarding psychiatric nursing and treatment.

Our ward is also for young people with BI contracts (user-controlled admission), which means we offer the young person a shorter admission for stabilization of their psychiatric condition. We meet patients where we need to consider and adapt to comorbidity and other psychiatric conditions that may complicate the care process. The ward's mission is to raise the patient's level of functioning so that they can benefit from continued care in outpatient services.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Bup inpatient care is in an exciting phase of development, and we are now looking for a family therapist who wants to help build our inpatient care for children and adolescents in Skåne.

Your responsibilities include mapping, motivating, and supporting the family to practice their skills. The tasks include both practical (e.g., meal support) and educational work where the Convention on the Rights of the Child forms the basis of our work. Additionally, participation in the routines surrounding psychiatric nursing, conversations, and support for patients and their relatives is included. We strive to work in a structured, person-centered, and family-based manner. Furthermore, you will participate in rounds and treatment conferences together with the entire team.

As a family therapist, it is important for us that you feel secure in your professional role at your new workplace. Therefore, we offer shadowing based on your circumstances, supervision every 14 days, reflections twice a week, regular internal lectures within the child psychiatric knowledge area, and introductory training for new employees within the region. You will be assigned a mentor over time for advice and support in your work. We care about development both as individuals and in our professions.

The working hours are scheduled on a 10-week schedule and include shifts during the day, evening, and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a social worker or have an education that the employer assesses as equivalent. Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form is a requirement for the position. Additionally, you have experience in treatment work, and it is desirable that you have experience working with families. Experience in child and adolescent psychiatric work and in the Melior data system is a significant advantage.

To succeed in the role, we would like you to be a treatment-oriented person who has the patient in focus with good collaboration skills, flexibility, and broad cultural competence. We expect you to be a responsible and mature person with good communication skills, who works well both independently and in team-based work. As we are keen to find the right person for the assignment, great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
