We are now looking for a dedicated and experienced family therapist for our Open Care team at Västerbo.

About Västerbo Open Care

Västerbo Open Care offers individualized open care for youth aged 12–25 and their families. We work with psychosocial issues, harmful use, trauma, and self-harm behavior.

Each youth and family is assigned a team where different professions collaborate for the best possible support.

We are a cross-professional team consisting of:

● Licensed psychologists

● Licensed psychiatrists

● Licensed occupational therapists

● Social workers

● Social pedagogues

About the position

As a family therapist, you will work flexibly and solution-oriented with both families and youth.

The work consists of a combination of individual sessions and family sessions, conducted in our premises in central Malmö or in the families' homes. The position also includes documentation in the form of ongoing record-keeping, implementation plans, and monthly and final reports.

You will work with a focus on change with several parallel cases and need to maintain structure and focus even in demanding situations.

Responsibilities

● Family therapy and youth therapy

● Family sessions and individual sessions

● Documentation and follow-up of treatment work

● Collaboration with colleagues and external partners

● Active participation in cross-professional teamwork

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

Is a trained social worker or social pedagogue (at least two years of education)

Has experience in family therapy

Is proactive, structured, flexible, and persistent

Has a good ability to create trusting relationships and dialogue

Can motivate change and see development potential in individuals and families

Enjoys collaboration and has an unpretentious approach

Is confident in adapting communication and response to the situation

You enjoy working with youth, as youth therapy is part of the position
