Strategic Buyer at EFG & Savo
Are you a strategic buyer who wants to influence the business - from cost structure and supplier strategy to quality and sustainability? We are currently looking for a strategic buyer who wants to take clear responsibility for sourcing and supplier development in a company in the midst of a positive transformation journey.
Here, you will play a key role in a moving company — where you work closely with product development, suppliers, and production to ensure quality, business value, and customer satisfaction throughout the chain.
About Us
We create furniture that improves work environments - every day. At EFG & Savo, we combine design, function, and sustainability to develop the workplaces of the future. Our products are sold through authorized dealers and interior specialists across the Nordic countries and Europe.
With strong brands and high ambitions, we are now looking for a new colleague to join our purchasing team — an important role in a company undergoing change and growth.
About the Role
The role has a clear mission: to strengthen competitiveness and profitability through smart sourcing, strong supplier relationships, and an efficient purchasing structure.
As a strategic buyer, you will be responsible for developing and driving sourcing and purchasing processes with a clear business focus. You will work both strategically and operationally — closely with our suppliers, product developers, and production organization.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Owning and developing sourcing strategies focusing on cost, quality, risk, and long-term business value.
- Negotiating prices, terms, and contracts.
- Developing and streamlining purchasing and sourcing processes for increased customer satisfaction and business efficiency.
- Ensuring that products, suppliers, and working methods comply with applicable legal requirements and internal guidelines related to business plans, quality, environment, and CSR.
- Developing the supplier base and driving improvement work in quality, cost, and sustainability.
- Collaborating with product development, marketing, and production.
- Contributing to the development of purchasing processes and sourcing footprint.
- The role involves regular contact with suppliers and travel for work, both within Sweden and internationally.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has several years of experience in strategic purchasing, preferably from the manufacturing industry or a similar sector.
- Is accustomed to owning the entire purchasing process - from supplier selection to contract and performance follow-up.
- Is a confident negotiator with strong analytical skills and an understanding of how purchasing affects margin, risk, and customer value.
- Has a good understanding of cost structure in the supply chain and experience in improvement work.
- Is easy to collaborate with, communicate, and build long-term relationships.
- Is structured, solution-oriented, and self-driven.
Education:
University degree in purchasing, economics, engineering, or another relevant field. Experience with international suppliers and contracts, project management, supplier development, or CSR work is an advantage.
We offer:
- A key role in a growing and changing company.
- The opportunity to influence the business through purchasing, development, and sustainability work.
- Sustainable products, a clear design identity, and modern working methods.
- Engaged colleagues and a culture characterized by collaboration and clear direction.
- Competitive terms and good opportunities for development.
- A role where you can help shape the future purchasing function in a company that is clearly focused on development, structure, and business acumen.
Who thrives with us?
You who enjoy combining analysis with relationships, strategy with execution - and who want to work in a company where purchasing is a central part of the business.
Application Deadline: February 13, 2026 (selection is ongoing).
