Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for teaching in grade 6, with the student's learning in focus. In close collaboration with your colleagues, you will plan and lead the work to create a meaningful, safe, and developing learning environment.

You work both with the group and with individuals, creating conditions for students to function as learning resources for each other.

About the Workplace

The main task of the Department of Children and Education is to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment where we prepare children and young people for the future. We also work to promote access to cultural and leisure activities for all residents.

Kyrkskolan is located in Sorunda and has two parallel classes with 340 students in grades F-6. Our focus areas are about being a health-promoting school with high goal fulfillment, active safety work, and engaged and competent staff who see each student. A welcoming climate is important to us, as is collaboration.

We have an inspiring school environment with a large schoolyard and proximity to nature. There are good opportunities for outdoor education. We who work here constantly develop our pedagogy to best meet the needs of the students.

What We Are Looking For in You

To succeed in the role, you have:

• Certification and qualification to work as a teacher for grades 1-6
• Knowledge of the current curriculum
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language and can express yourself fluently in speech and writing
• Experience working in grades 4-6 of primary school
• Knowledge/experience of special educational perspectives

It is an advantage if you have:

• Knowledge and experience of working with children with NPF

To succeed in the role of teacher in grade 6, you have good pedagogical insight. You are attentive and communicate clearly while creating engagement, joy of work, and participation. You contribute to creating good relationships and are responsible. Since we work for close collaboration within and between work teams at the school, we place great importance on your ability to collaborate. You need to have a positive attitude and personal commitment. You should be initiative-taking, structured, and have good leadership skills.
