About the position

In Haninge municipality, we work preventively and operationally to promote attendance and support students with problematic school absenteeism. Five attendance coordinators are placed in all the municipality's schools and work closely with schools and EHT, guardians, and students to increase attendance. One attendance coordinator is centrally located and works with registered students in independent schools.

We are now looking for a new attendance coordinator to be placed at Åbyskolan, with experience working with students with problematic school absenteeism, for a fixed-term employment (temporary position) of at least one year.

Your mission

You will work on behalf of the schools' EHT and operate both preventively and operationally for students with problematic school absenteeism. You will have close contact with students and their guardians. Your mission primarily involves creating good collaboration and conditions for all parties involved to reach adequate interventions, adjustments, and special support. Your mission will vary as the schools differ and each case is unique. You will also work together with other actors such as social services and healthcare. The goal of the attendance coordinator's work is to contribute to good collaboration with all parties and to foster a common understanding of each student, in order to increase school attendance.

What we are looking for in you

We see that you have experience working with students with problematic school absenteeism and possess the sensitivity required to build trusting relationships. You are unpretentious, solution-focused, flexible, and driven, as well as structured and enjoy working both in a team and independently. You are comfortable visiting families and are professional in your approach. You thrive in various forums where different professions and agencies participate. You have experience working with young people and their families, with neuropsychiatric disabilities, mental health issues, and psychosocial stress.
