Career and Study Advisor in Sundbyberg City

As a career and study advisor in Sundbyberg City, you have a central and significant role in supporting individuals who are outside of education and work. Your main task is to work with career and study guidance for participants in the municipality's labor market initiatives and within the municipal activity responsibility (KAA). You work closely with individuals with various needs and life situations, contributing to creating realistic, sustainable paths forward towards education, work, or other interventions. The work is both relationship-building and structured, focusing on motivation, guidance, and long-term establishment.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of career and study advisor, you will work with:

• Providing individual career and study guidance to participants in labor market initiatives and youth within KAA
• Mapping the individual's conditions, goals, and needs, as well as establishing and following up individual competence plans/individual study plans.
• Registering, documenting, and following up individuals in relevant administrative systems
• Following up on interventions, attendance, and contact attempts over time

You will also conduct active outreach work towards youth within KAA, through phone, digital channels, letters, and home visits if necessary.

An important part of the assignment is collaboration. You will act as a coordinating contact person for the individual and work closely with:

• Various units of the social services
• High schools, adapted high schools, and adult education
• The Employment Service
• Regional care and support services
• Labor market initiatives, internship activities, and civil society

You will participate in and initiate collaboration meetings, network meetings, and SIP based on the individual's needs.

Connection to Adult Education

The assignment also includes collaboration with the municipality's adult education. You will provide information in groups about, for example, the labor market's needs, support transitions to studies, and participate in admission processes for both the municipality's own programs and authorized educational providers as needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified career and study advisor
• Has experience working in the labor market area, KAA, or similar activities
• Is confident and independent in your professional role and has the ability to work collaboratively
• Has a professional, attentive, and situation-adapted approach

Meritorious

• Experience in municipal adult education
• Experience collaborating with social services
• Good administrative skills
• Familiarity with systems such as UEDB, Alvis, Framtidskortet, and Valideringscentralen

Employment Conditions

Permanent full-time employment (a probationary period may apply)

Desired start date: 2026-03-01 or earlier by agreement
