Defense Medicine Center
The Defense Medicine Center (FömedC) is the Swedish Armed Forces' center for the function of defense medicine, located in Gothenburg. FömedC consists of a management team, the Armed Forces Combat School for Defense Medicine (FSS), the Functional Unit (FunkE), and the Hospital Battalion (Sjhbat).
The Hospital Battalion consists of several companies within healthcare, management, maintenance, and medical transport. The battalion is responsible for its own conscription training. The personnel categories include officers, specialist officers, medical staff, soldiers, and conscripts.
About the Position
As a logistics officer in the Hospital Battalion, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and following up on logistics operations within the battalion. You are part of the battalion staff and work closely with the battalion leadership and companies to ensure that equipment, supplies, and transportation function effectively. You are expected to work closely with the companies' quartermasters.
A logistics officer in the Hospital Battalion will also be an active part of upcoming infrastructure work as the unit is growing.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and execute maintenance on the battalion's equipment and systems
- Plan and execute transport services, as well as organize and coordinate transports for operational needs
- Infrastructure tasks for the battalion
- Be responsible for the unit's supply chain
- Ordering in the Armed Forces support systems
- Participate in exercises, readiness, and missions
Qualifications
- Completed and approved specialist or officer training, at least SO7
- Relevant and current experience in logistics service within the Armed Forces
- Ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English
- Driving license B
- Approved medical examination and basic requirements according to FM FysS.
- Swedish citizenship
Meritorious
- Completed logistics training within the Armed Forces
- Experience in planning and developing infrastructure
- Knowledge of systems LIFT, PRIO, and VIDAR
- PRIO training in Warehouse and Technical Service
- Civil education or experience in warehousing, transport, or hazardous goods/flammable materials
Personal Qualities
We are looking for a structured and responsible person with good planning skills. In this role, you will work with planning and executing maintenance, transport services, and supply chain management, which requires accuracy and a solution-oriented approach. You will also be an active participant in the planning of new infrastructure. You enjoy collaborating and have a good ability to coordinate and communicate with various stakeholders. Furthermore, you are flexible and take initiative to ensure that the operational needs are met efficiently.

The position includes a military placement in the Hospital Battalion.
