About the Unit

The Garnison Unit primarily serves as a supporting unit to other units within the Gothenburg garrison. As a Shipmaster/Boatmaster, you belong to the Equipment Section of the Garnison Unit, which is part of the Älvsborg Amphibious Regiment, Amf4.

Main Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities include planning and conducting maritime transport operations within the Gothenburg Garrison, such as personnel/goods and shipyard transports, planning and partially performing preventive maintenance on own boats, and participating in remedial maintenance work.

You will also participate in and support unit exercises, as well as assist others at the garrison with various port activities. Work with our war organization is also a significant part of the job.

Requirements

  • Specialist officer training at least OR 6
  • Maritime qualification at least N8.
  • Driving license B
  • ROC (radio certificate)
  • Approved medical examination for seagoing personnel
  • Meet FM physical requirements (approved within 6 months)

Meritorious

  • Mechanical engineering qualification M8 (engine officer class VIII)
  • Experience as Shipmaster/Boatmaster
  • Other ship qualifications

Employment rate: Full-time
Work location: Gothenburg.
Travel in service occurs, mainly within Sweden. Since operations may occur outside regular working hours, working hours may be shifted to evenings/nights and weekends.
Start date: as soon as possible by agreement.
Salary: Individual salary setting applies.
