Technical Teacher for Vehicle Services at the Motor School, Logistics School in Skövde

The Göta Transport Regiment T 2 is in an exciting growth phase and is now looking for a technical teacher for vehicle services at the Motor School, Logistics School in Skövde.

About the Logistics School and Motor School

The Logistics School trains employees and future officers in logistics and vehicle services for all branches and combat forces in the Swedish Armed Forces. Approximately 90 military and civilian employees work at the Logistics School.

The Motor School is responsible for training instructors in vehicle services within the Armed Forces. The department's area of responsibility includes vehicle types such as wheeled vehicles and special vehicles, for example, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, motorcycles, armored personnel carriers, and tracked vehicles.

Main Responsibilities

As a technical teacher for vehicle services, you will play a central role in developing, planning, and conducting training within your area of expertise. You will, among other things:

  • Lead and conduct courses in vehicle services as a teacher.
  • Support trainers at the Armed Forces units with professional expertise in vehicle services.
  • Contribute to developing training methods, course content, and safety routines related to vehicle services.
  • Drive development and concept projects within the Motor School's area of responsibility.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Professional officer, SO 7-8.
  • Technical officer (or YO with equivalent technical knowledge).
  • Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  • Current experience working with the Office suite and digital tools.

In the role of technical teacher for vehicle services, it is important that you are independent, proactive, and have a positive view of people that influences your way of supporting both colleagues and the organization. You want to develop and contribute to the development of others within your area of responsibility.

Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills, enjoy working in teams, and can quickly adapt to new situations. Your commitment to education and development influences your working style. The job involves both theoretical and practical elements and requires a combination of pedagogical skills, technical knowledge, and leadership qualities.

DESIRABLE

  • Experience with heavy wheeled vehicles (e.g., trucks or buses).
  • Experience or knowledge of vehicle services at the company level.
  • Military vehicle instructor.
  • Experience in driving projects.

Employment type: Military position, permanent employment. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not already employed by the authority.

Employment rate: Full-time.

Work location: Skövde.

Travel in the service may occur.
