About the Logistics School and the Army Medical School

The Army Medical School is home to the competence bearers for medical service at T 2 Göta Trängregemente. The tasks of the medical school are to educate cadets, professional officers, and medical soldiers, to train combat units in medical service, and to support the development of medical services in the Army. Both professional officers and licensed medical personnel work in the department.

Main Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities include planning, preparing, and conducting lectures, practical exercises, and applied training during various medical training courses. The training can be conducted independently or together with other staff in the department. The context of the training varies and takes place in classrooms as well as under field conditions.

You are required to want to develop yourself in both theoretical knowledge and material understanding, as well as an understanding of the tactical situation. In addition to teaching, you also support the development of the course activities based on function and tactical requirements.

You also support the needs assessment, inventory, and follow-up of the department's materials. Together with others in the department, you support the regiment's combat units and the army during exercises.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Professional officer, SO 6
  • Instructor in medical service
  • Driving license B (manual transmission)
  • Good understanding of the Armed Forces' medical system
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • Experience working with the Office suite and digital tools

Personal Characteristics

To succeed in the role of medical instructor, you have good pedagogical skills and can work both independently and collaboratively. You have the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and actively contribute to the organization's common goals.

Furthermore, you are structured, responsible, and have good organizational skills. You are also communicative and have an easy time establishing and maintaining trusting relationships with colleagues, students, and external partners.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

DESIRABLE

  • Knowledge of trauma management equivalent to PHTLS, TCCC
  • TCCC instructor
  • Experience in training cadets
  • Military driving license
  • Good ability to express yourself in English, both orally and in writing

Other

Employment type: Military position, permanent employment. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not already employed by the authority.

Employment rate: Full-time.

Work location: Skövde.

Start date: As soon as possible or by agreement.

Travel and exercises may occur in the position.
