ABOUT US

Mötesplats Hisingen is a unit where we, together with residents and local actors, identify needs and offer local social interventions.

The unit aims to serve everyone in need, with a special focus and adaptation for parents and children (0-12 years). The purpose is to equip individuals for increased participation in society, greater ability to influence their own lives, and contribute to reduced social and economic vulnerability.

Today we offer, among other things, an Open meeting place, Advice and support, Thematic meetings, as well as activities for parents and children living under economic and/or social vulnerability, as well as study support for middle school students. Our mission is dynamic, as we regularly adjust our interventions based on participation and needs.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are now looking for part-time staff/temp workers for our meeting places in two different locations in Biskopsgården.

The meeting places operate every weekday, and the need for part-time staff varies. The number of shifts may therefore vary between different periods depending on the needs. Shifts are a minimum of 2.5 hours and a maximum of 8 hours. Working hours are primarily scheduled on weekdays during the day between 08:00-17:00. Shifts in the late afternoon/evening and weekends may occur.

The main task is to work operationally and relationship-building closely with the target group together with regular staff on site and possibly additional staff/volunteers. You will work to motivate and engage the target group to achieve their own goals based on our mission. You will also help prepare/restore practically before and after activities. You meet people where they are right now, which means that the variety of interventions is large.

WHO ARE YOU?

You are an engaged, social, and goal-oriented person with a strong drive to contribute to a more humane society for all. We would like you to have experience working with parents and/or children, preferably in family-strengthening roles. You enjoy working closely with the target group.

As a person, you are secure, relationship-building, unpretentious, organized, and responsible. You tackle and solve challenges in a smooth and flexible manner and have good collaboration skills. Experience in community work and working in socio-economically disadvantaged areas, preferably related to Biskopsgården, is a plus.

You have a high school diploma, and it is highly meritorious to have language skills in Arabic or Somali, a driver's license, and some form of post-secondary education related to the position.
