About the operation
The unit against violence in close relationships in Uddevalla municipality is now expanding, and we are looking for a new employee in the form of a 1st social worker for violence in close adult relationships (authority exercise) as well as the Crisis Center's conversation reception. The position also includes handling reports and applications regarding violence in close relationships for adults.
The unit against violence in close relationships is one of six units within the department for children and youth. The unit consists of the Crisis Center, which is a conversation reception for victims and perpetrators of violence, including children, youth, and adults. Furthermore, Barnahus Fyrbodal/Uddevalla is one of three branches in Fyrbodal that collaborates with the police, prosecutors, child and adolescent psychiatry (BUP), and social services when there is suspicion that children may be victims of crime, Vingen, a protected accommodation for women and children exposed to violence, and social workers for adult violence in close relationships.
The unit consists of 11 employees and a close-to-operation unit manager.
Job responsibilities:
You will lead and distribute the daily work for social workers working with adults in the area as well as for the Crisis Center's counselors. You will hold group meetings for both groups that occur weekly at different times. You will also function as a methodological support to the relevant staff in the role of 1st social worker.
The responsibilities for the Crisis Center's counselors include having support conversations with victims and perpetrators of violence, including children, youth, and adults. The responsibilities also include being able to provide training regarding violence in close relationships together with colleagues in the unit, for example, in schools, within health care, or where knowledge-enhancing measures are requested.
We should be an easily accessible social service according to current legislation, which means, among other things, being visible in the community and spreading knowledge about violence in close relationships to all age groups.
Regarding authority exercise in violence in close relationships, two social workers currently handle reports and applications regarding the need for protection and support.
This position represents an expansion to handle violence in close relationship cases with part-time work.
Qualifications:
You should have a suitable university education such as a social worker or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. It is a requirement that you have knowledge of violence in close relationships and experience working with the target group. It is advantageous if you have other further education and have also worked as a counselor in the area of violence in close relationships.
The work requires that you are secure in your person. In addition, we want you to be structured and able to work independently and professionally in collaboration. You should have a good attitude and be able to express yourself well both verbally and in writing.
