Your mission
As a support assistant, you provide everyday support to individuals with mental and/or intellectual disabilities. Your working method is characterized by flexibility, continuity, and security. You offer individually tailored support – both socially and practically – based on each individual's needs. Through a methodical, long-term, and goal-oriented approach, you contribute to strengthening the user's abilities, participation, and influence. Together with the users, you create a safe home environment and a meaningful everyday life. The tasks also include various types of administration such as planning support, documentation, record-keeping, and establishing implementation plans. The tasks also involve personal care and medication management. The placement is within area 1 at a group home.

You are committed and have a desire to share our values and work towards set goals as well as to work with continuous improvements. Since our operations are characterized by many different activities, it is important that you have good initiative and can make independent decisions. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Formal competence requirements
- We are looking for someone with education equivalent to a nursing assistant or child and leisure program, or higher education that we assess as relevant in social work, pedagogy, or behavioral science
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and mental disabilities, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), clarifying pedagogy, and low-arousal approaches
- You also need to have previous experience working with people within the LSS target group
- Employment requires you to have a B driver's license
- Digital identification with Bank ID

The employment
Temporary position for about 6 months with a chance for extension depending on the needs of the operation, but no longer than 12 months. Start as soon as possible or by agreement. Support assistants are currently placed at the Support and Function operation within the Welfare and Labor Market Administration, which is organized directly under the Welfare and Labor Market Committee. The nearest manager is the unit manager.
