Analyst/BI Developer for the Social Office

YOUR ROLE

As an analyst/BI developer, you will work closely with the municipality's operations, particularly focusing on the social office. In this role, you will help produce structured and reliable decision-making materials that support analysis and well-founded decisions. You are an important link between the operational needs and data-driven decision support. A key part of the assignment involves dialogue: listening, asking questions, and understanding the social office's mission, conditions, and challenges – and then translating this into analysis materials and reports that provide real benefits in everyday life.

You will work with data collection and presentation, often in Power BI, and contribute to better monitoring and understanding within the social office's operations. The assignments can vary from simpler follow-ups to more in-depth analysis materials, for example related to volumes, quality, finance, or operational development. The materials are used as support in operations and decision-making processes at various levels, and you ensure that they are clear and useful.

The role involves building relationships and trust over time and becoming a natural part of the social office's work, while also belonging to a cross-municipal data team. It is important that you enjoy being present in the operations, take responsibility for your assignments, and have the ability to translate complex information into something understandable and useful for different recipients.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone who is analytical, structured, and curious, and who enjoys a role with a lot of collaboration and contact with others. You have worked with analysis and data collection in some form and have the ability to see the big picture, identify the essential, and explain it clearly.

A university degree or other relevant education, such as courses or further education in analysis, data, or technology, is meritorious. Education and experience are important, but we place great emphasis on personal qualities, interest, and potential to develop in the role.

Experience with tools for data collection, analysis, and presentation is meritorious, such as Microsoft 365, Power BI, survey tools, or statistical programs, as well as an understanding of public operations. You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have a good ability to express yourself in English.

As a person, you are relationship-oriented, results-driven, and comfortable in collaborations. You enjoy building networks, creating trust, and working collaboratively with others. You find complex contexts stimulating and have an interest in developing both work methods and your own competence.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

You will become part of the municipality's data team and work in a context where analysis plays a clear role in understanding and developing the municipality's operations. The assignments are community-oriented and often complex, with questions that span several parts of the organization.

Here you will work with large amounts of information and varied questions in close collaboration with the operations. The role provides the opportunity to see how analysis is used in practice and to contribute materials that are used in decision-making and development work.

The work environment is flexible and activity-based. There are good opportunities for professional development and learning in daily work. Knowledge is shared and built over time together with experienced colleagues, focusing on presence and relationships in the operations. When the tasks allow, there is the possibility of remote work.
