Financial Administrator at Region Västerbotten

The Economic Department supports management and operations in economic and operational governance issues. We are responsible for managing and developing Region Västerbotten's economic and operational governance model, decision support, accounting, customer and supplier invoicing, as well as purchasing and procurement.
The Customer Invoicing section within the Accounting and Governance unit is a service operation that works to secure the region's revenues. We are responsible for developing and managing a secure and functional transaction handling system. We create the right conditions for the operations to handle invoices professionally. We are now looking for a financial administrator to join our section of 14 people, based in Umeå. We are currently seeking employees for permanent positions and temporary contracts until November 2026.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a financial administrator at Region Västerbotten, you will primarily work with financial administration such as invoice handling, patient fees, cash flows, statistics, and more. In daily contact with operations and external customers, you also provide important service and enable initiatives that impact many. Additionally, you may work in other areas such as collections, account reconciliations, and VAT management.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in economics. As a person, you are proactive, analytical, and meticulous. You should be able to work independently but also in a team. In your role as a financial administrator, you are development-oriented and can quickly familiarize yourself with new tasks and systems. You have an interest in digitalization and see it as an opportunity for the development of operations. A proactive and solution-oriented approach is crucial for success. Since the job involves contact with various stakeholders, we believe you enjoy working in a service-oriented manner and have the ability to build good relationships. Experience working with financial systems is an advantage, as well as good knowledge of the Office suite. Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is required for the position.
