Since December 14, 2025, VR has been responsible for the operation of Norrtåg. To strengthen our teams, we are now looking for part-time employees who can work as needed, for example during evenings and weekends. We are recruiting both Traffic Managers and Customer Service Representatives who want to contribute to safe, efficient, and service-oriented transport for our passengers.
Customer Service Representative
As a customer service representative, you are a reliable point of contact for our passengers. You assist with inquiries, disruptions, and bookings, and work closely with both traffic managers and train staff. This role is suitable for those who want to work extra, for example during your study period or when you have the opportunity to take extra shifts.
Your responsibilities
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, chat, and email
- Provide passengers with current traffic information
- Rebook passengers, order replacement transport, and arrange hotels
- Support traffic management and train attendants during disruptions
- Ensure that communication is clear and service-oriented
We are looking for someone who
- Has good communication skills and enjoys working in a service role
- Is calm and confident even in pressured situations
- Has good computer skills and can easily adapt to new working methods
- Is responsible and solution-focused
We would like you to have
- Experience in customer service
- Very good computer skills
Location
Both the customer service representative role and the traffic manager role are located at VR's office in Umeå, right next to the station.
