Job Responsibilities

Kärralundsskolan is now seeking a special educator.

The position is permanent and full-time, with the possibility to work 80%.

Kärralundsskolan 1–9 is an adapted primary school that accepts students who, in addition to intellectual disabilities, also have physical disabilities.

As a special educator with us, you will work closely with the operations. You will support teachers in planning lessons. You will work with SKA and write pedagogical assessments for the transition to high school and as needed. You will also work closely with the assistant principal.

To thrive with us, you need to have a strong commitment to educational development and be a good mentor.

You will be part of a student health team where you, together with a psychologist, counselor, school nurse, and assistant principal, work to support and strengthen students' learning and development.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed teacher/preschool teacher with further education as a special educator. Experience working in an adapted primary school is an advantage. Experience with the digital systems PMO and Treserva is also a plus.

You find it easy to collaborate with and mentor teachers to create conditions for every student to develop. Encouraging participation, openness, and tolerance is self-evident to us. It is important that you can work independently within guidelines and practices and that you can recommend measures, document, and participate in decisions. The work requires a flexible approach, initiative, good collaboration skills, IT proficiency, and a positive view of students. You are open-minded and work based on research and proven experience to challenge yourself and others in your work.

We also see that you promote a respectful work climate and create good relationships with both colleagues and students and guardians. You do this by being open and accommodating and by listening to your surroundings to understand their needs.
