Helenaskolan is located in central Skövde, near the travel center with good communication. We are a secondary school for grades 7-9 with approximately 500 students and currently have over 60 employees working at the school. The school has an implemented operations and development organization that, together with school management, educators, student health, resource teams, and administration, meets the challenges we face in operational and strategic work. Our 6 lead teachers lead the work with our prioritized development areas such as language and knowledge-developing methods, mathematics, as well as study peace and attendance. Helenaskolan has a student health team consisting of a counselor, school nurse, study and career counselor, special educator and special teacher, psychologist, and speech therapist, as well as school management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Teacher in natural sciences and technology. The position includes mentorship, we place great emphasis on collaboration, and you will belong to a work team that focuses on both the academic and personal development of the students.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher in natural sciences and technology, also mathematics. We consider it an advantage if you have additional subject competencies and have worked in the school world for a couple of years. You should have good computer skills, be open to new working methods, and be able to work individually tailored as well as collegially. As an educator, you have a good structure in your work and systematically evaluate your teaching. You are also expected to create motivation and curiosity in students through a positive and trusting view of people. You have high expectations for results and development at both group and individual levels and support each student in their development. You are responsible and have good collaboration skills and create conditions for participation for students, staff, and guardians.

OTHER

To start working in preschool, school, leisure centers, and other educational activities, you are required to show an extract from the criminal record. The extract is valid for one year and can be ordered from the National Police Board www.polisen.se.

Those who have not shown an extract from the criminal record cannot be employed, contracted, or admitted to the activity according to current legal requirements.
