We are now looking for reinforcement for our preschool, a wonderful workplace with a good atmosphere, where every individual is significant.

Tokarpsbergs Preschool is centrally located in Norrmalm, close to both Borås cultural center, city library, playgrounds, and forest. We have a beautiful natural plot with large play areas in hilly terrain. Here there is a barbecue area, a stream, nice sledding hills in winter, and many other fun places that invite imaginative play.

The preschool has 4 departments and we work in age-divided groups. We work with children's development and learning through both play and planned teaching, indoors and outdoors on our yard, in the forest, or in various parks and playgrounds.

At Tokarpsbergs Preschool, we have the child at the center, and our decisions are always based on what is best for the children. Having the competent child in focus is important to us; children develop by trying things themselves. Democracy, equal value of all people, and respect for one another are fundamental values for our operations. We want to achieve this through play, creativity, various learning tools, and creation based on children's interests and needs.

For us at Tokarpsbergs Preschool, it is important to work to ensure that children and guardians feel safe with us, and we work towards having the family in focus. We do this by planning and implementing both an introduction to preschool and teaching based on individual needs and interests. We see that the relationships that exist between children, between children and educators, and between guardians and educators are crucial for how well we achieve the goals of the operations, and therefore we are keen to create opportunities for dialogue.

We work to develop our pedagogical work through collegial learning based on our unit's prioritized goals. We take children's questions seriously and see learning as something we create together - the educators are co-discoverers who, in dialogue with the children, explore, reflect, and seek answers to questions that arise in everyday life. The preschool's prioritized areas this school year focus on developing our learning environments.

We are looking for someone who, together with engaged colleagues, wants to help drive and continue to develop our preschool. We place great importance on a working method that involves a low-arousal and clarifying approach towards both children and families. Through your work, you ensure that every child feels seen and has the opportunity to develop in a stimulating and safe environment where their needs are always at the center.

Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating play, activities, and teaching for children in preschool based on the preschool's curriculum. You should create both a physical and psychological environment that stimulates children's curiosity and desire to learn, as well as provides opportunities for success.

Collaboration with guardians to create good conditions for each child within the framework of our operations is seen as an important part of our mission, and you are expected to work on this through, for example, introductions to preschool for new children and guardians, development talks, and parent meetings.

As a preschool teacher, you have both individual and collective responsibility with your work team for the preschool's education and teaching, and we create conditions for this by organizing for PUT.

We collaborate with other preschools in our area, child health teams, preschool classes, schools, and libraries and see collegial learning as a success factor.

Within the Preschool Administration, we have free pedagogical lunches, work clothes, and as a preschool teacher, you also have an average of five hours of planning time per week. We also offer a trained mentor if you are new to the profession, as well as opportunities for further education and collegial learning. We are looking for someone with a preschool teacher license who has a professional approach and a humble and positive attitude towards children, guardians, colleagues, and other partners.

We are looking for someone who plans and implements their work based on the preschool's curriculum and the children's needs, and who takes advantage of the children's experiences and interests.

You should be flexible and independent, but also easy to collaborate with. You see the work team as a strength and an asset, where together you can reflect on both the operations and your own strengths, but also on the areas for development that exist.

To succeed in the role, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You have a good ability to create good collaborations and relationships with children, colleagues, guardians, and others you meet. You are responsible, have good self-leadership, and can create a safe and developing learning environment. We also see that you have the ability to be a good role model, both for children and adults.
