At Hovåsskolan, there are about 580 students from preschool to grade 9.

There is also an after-school care with four departments, as well as adapted primary school. Hovåsskolan is located near the sea and forest. We utilize nature both during lesson time and during after-school activities.

As a teacher in after-school care, you will be part of the team responsible for the operations in after-school care in the adapted primary school. The work includes significant value-based work to develop children in social contexts. You will also work in the school during school hours together with the class teachers in the adapted primary school. This means co-planning, implementing, and evaluating school and after-school activities.

We work in teams, and for us, job satisfaction and collaboration are important guiding principles. Together, we want to create a holistic view of the student's development and learning.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher in after-school care. It is an advantage if you also have experience in:

• working in after-school care
• organized outdoor activities/recess activities
• Alternative Communication and Knowledge (AKK) as well as experience and knowledge of clear pedagogy and low-affect responses
• work within adapted primary school or special education groups for students with disabilities

You have an interest in creating a school where students feel safe and curious, to develop their abilities under good conditions. As a person, you have an inclusive approach and meet each child based on their individual circumstances and needs. We wish for you to be educational and encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement, and want to help develop our after-school care in the adapted primary school. You have the ability to create safety and trust both with children and their parents.
