Description

We at Santosskolan need to strengthen our wonderful staff group with a special education teacher specializing in Swedish and language, writing, and reading development for grades 7-9.

The position is a temporary contract for the entire school year 2026/2027.

Santosskolan is located at Campus Lindholmen and started at the beginning of the school year in autumn 2015. The school accommodates over 420 students in grades 7-9 and about 50 staff members. Since autumn 2021, we are part of the Hisingen 8 school area, together with Herrgårdsskolan F-6.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include conducting special education in Swedish individually and in groups, performing assessments and screenings, contributing to development work, participating in the student health team, conducting investigations, and writing action plans. There are good opportunities to influence how special education work should be structured in consultation with the student health team and the other Swedish teachers. The work also includes mentoring educators.

You will also work closely with other Swedish teachers, sharing and receiving knowledge and experiences to jointly develop the teaching. The school is participating this academic year in Special Education for Learning and will continue to work with this new knowledge in the upcoming school year.

Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified primary school teacher with authorization in Swedish and further education as a special education teacher. You also have experience and knowledge of students with autism and other NPF.

As a person, you are skilled at creating inclusive learning environments and building trusting relationships with students while maintaining good contact with their families. You adapt the leadership and stimulation of teaching according to students' needs and strengths. You are flexible and have the ability to adjust your approach and communication with students based on their functional variations and can help students interpret different situations and social contexts.

To thrive in this role, you should gain energy from contributing to others' learning and create conditions for learning to take place. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and are driven to work with other people.
