Job Advertisement: Teacher within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand facilities, and client transport.
The Learning Center is a national organization where the adult education section provides education for the clients of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. At each prison in the country and some remand facilities, there is one or more learning centers where teachers instruct at basic and upper secondary levels, equivalent to municipal adult education, as well as Swedish language education for immigrants. Adult education is nationally cohesive and organized so that studies function regardless of which facility a client comes to and even if they are transferred during their studies.
