Fören Noaks Ark - GöteborgVästra Götalands län, Göteborg
Previous experience is desired
Location: Gothenburg
Employment Type: Full-time
Contract Type: Project employment until December 31, 2026 (with a good chance of extension).
Are you our new colleague?
Do you want to help drive and develop our information and education activities regarding HIV and sexual health? We at Noaks Ark Gothenburg & Västra Götaland are looking for a colleague who wants to take responsibility for our information initiatives and coordinate our educational activities.
Who are we?
Noaks Ark is a politically and religiously independent non-profit organization that has worked for over 40 years with sexual and reproductive health and rights, with a particular focus on HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) and STIs (sexually transmitted infections).
Our goal is to spread knowledge about HIV and SRHR to promote a pleasurable, safe, and secure sexuality. In this way, we contribute to preventing infections and combating mental health issues.
About the role:
The role of the education coordinator is responsible for issues within the organization related to information dissemination and education. The person is the organization's internal lecturer and the one who primarily books our external speakers. The role also includes volunteer coordination, where the education coordinator is the spider in the web for our valuable volunteer activities. You motivate, convene, and engage our volunteers. You are responsible for contacting new partners, e.g., other organizations where prioritized target groups are located or venues where we want to expand our information efforts. After that, you schedule and coordinate the lectures. You coordinate our volunteer training and are our go-to for keeping our volunteers together.
Since we are a small organization, it is required that you are creative, flexible, and self-driven, with the ability to develop the service in line with the needs of the organization.
As our new colleague, you will among other things:
- Plan and implement information initiatives targeting our target groups.
- Book external speakers for our training or theme lectures (together with others at the office).
- Work proactively by contacting potential partners and finding new venues to carry out information initiatives.
- Maintain contact and engagement with existing volunteers and place them on assignments.
- Recruit new volunteers through information initiatives and digital platforms.
- Be responsible for volunteer meetings and further training.
- Project manage our project Health-promoting SRHR initiatives for adults in asylum accommodation, which involves coordinating and conducting lectures on SRHR for residents at Restad Gård.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is passionate about issues related to HIV and sexual and reproductive health and rights and who wants to make a real difference. You easily build trust, enjoy meeting people, and thrive in a role where you get to educate, coordinate, and develop the organization.
You are a confident and clear communicator who feels at home in the role of lecturer. You have the ability to inspire, engage, and build relationships – both with volunteers and partners.
Since we are a small office, we see that you are self-driven, solution-oriented, and comfortable taking initiative and structuring your own work. You thrive in a dynamic environment where you can think creatively, adapt to needs, and help shape the organization's future.
We would like you to have:
- Experience in conducting training, workshops, or lectures.
- Good organizational skills and experience coordinating different groups or activities.
- The ability to create engagement and drive relationships over time.
- Experience in outreach work, volunteer coordination, or similar is an advantage.
- Knowledge or interest in SRHR, HIV, and STI issues – or a strong desire to learn.
- Good communication and administrative skills, as well as comfort working both independently and in a team.
Above all, we are looking for someone who wants to be part of our dedicated team and contribute to a society where everyone has access to knowledge, security, and good sexual health.
We place great importance on personal suitability and see multilingualism as an asset.
What do we offer?
With us, you will meet a small and dedicated team with a big heart for our issues. We offer:
- A meaningful and developing role
- Close leadership and good opportunities to influence
- The opportunity to participate in HIV prevention work both locally and nationally
You will be placed at our office in Gothenburg, but will be part of a national network of Noaks Ark associations, gathered under the National Association Noaks Ark.
We are a flexible workplace that values individual needs and applies goal-oriented working hours. We have a collective agreement through Fremia and apply individual salary setting.
