We need a special educator or special teacher, as one of our employees is retiring.

Diseröd School is a growing F-6 school with six after-school departments and over 350 students. The school is located in Romelanda, just outside Kungälv, in a picturesque area. You can reach us by both car and bus. Here, you will work with very engaged and positive colleagues.

We place great importance on working for a safe school and a good approach with students at the center. We continuously work to develop our operations, and our collaboration between colleagues is an important factor in this work.

Our student health team consists of a special educator, principal, vice principal, school nurse, counselor, school psychologist, and special teachers. We work, among other things, with student health meetings, EHM - an exciting method for student health work that involves all staff.

Responsibilities

As a special educator or special teacher at our school, you will have many different responsibilities. Some are ongoing, while others occur periodically. Together with the school management, we will outline your assignment based on your expertise and the needs of the school.

Your responsibilities will include, to varying degrees:

• Teaching in the form of special support.
• Pedagogical investigations together with the educators.
• Establishing, following up, and evaluating individual education plans (IEP).
• Being part of the student health team and our overall working group F-6.
• Collaboration with guardians, for example, in connection with IEPs and development talks.
• Actively participating in the municipality's special pedagogical network and contributing to monitoring issues related to the school's compensatory mission.
• Being flexible and prioritizing what is needed for the operation.

If you are a special educator, you will also be responsible for:

• Welcoming new students, including the process with newly arrived students.
• Overall work with student health issues and school development.
• Participating in or leading parts of the school's professional development.
• Working in the safety team and developing the school's value-based work.
• Responsibility for transitions from preschool to school and from grade 6 to grade 7.

Qualifications

You are a qualified special educator or special teacher.

You have taught in lower or middle school and have several years of experience in the role of special educator.
