Your Assignment

Alingsås Vocational High School is now looking for an engaged English teacher for our vocational programs. The position is 50% and scheduled for Monday to Wednesday.

You will teach and mentor students in the common gymnasium course in English. Together with colleagues, you will be part of a team consisting of both subject teachers and vocational teachers. We see you as an important part of the school's development work, where teaching is closely linked to the students' future working lives.

In addition to teaching, mentorship and other common tasks may be included, similar to other teachers at the school.

About the School

Alingsås Vocational High School is a growing school with about 90 students in the Hairdressing and Vehicle and Transport programs. We offer vocational training where theory and practice are combined – both at school and in workplaces.

Our teaching is characterized by closeness, flexibility, and practical learning. The collegial collaboration is strong, and we work closely together between vocational subjects and common gymnasium subjects. With us, you will meet students with great creativity and a clear focus on working life.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed upper secondary school teacher in English
• has a good ability to meet students based on their different conditions
• is secure, clear, and relationship-building in your leadership
• shares the school's core values and wants to work closely with students

Meritorious:

• authorization in more subjects
• experience of teaching in vocational programs

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.
