Senior Test Leader at Naval Combat Systems

Your Role

As a senior test leader at Naval Combat Systems, you will have a central position in the development of our marine command systems - advanced and high-tech solutions used on ships and submarines both in Sweden and internationally.

Your role includes leading, structuring, and developing the testing work in one of our larger projects and working closely with both the test team, development, and system engineers. You will have a broad and varied daily routine where you often work strategically with test planning as well as practically with test execution in reference and simulated environments. A crucial part of the role is collaboration with the customer, especially during acceptance tests and deviation management.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Planning, coordinating, and leading acceptance tests.
• Developing test plans, test procedures, and test data.
• Conducting tests in reference facilities and simulated environments.
• Verifying functional requirements and ensuring requirement traceability.
• Documenting test results, deviations, and test logs.
• Leading tests together with the customer and participating in reviews and approval meetings.
• Driving improvements in testing processes, automation, and reporting.

Your Profile

You are a person who thrives on responsibility, takes initiative, and ensures that things get done. You are analytical, communicative, and have an easy time collaborating in technically complex projects. An interest in understanding the whole in large system landscapes is a clear strength of yours.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Several years of experience in test management and software testing.
• Relevant technical education, such as in computer science or engineering physics.
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English.
• Good understanding of functional verification, requirement traceability, and system integration.
• Experience with testing tools and ALM platforms, such as Zephyr, Polarion, or TestRail.

It is an advantage if you also have experience with defense or security-classified systems, especially in marine environments. Knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and DOORS is seen as a strength, as well as experience with agile methodologies and iterative development. It is also positive if you have experience with CI/CD, test automation, or simulation technology. The position requires a security clearance. Some positions may also require specific citizenship requirements.
