IT Administrator at the Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS)

The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. Regardless of where in our organization you work or what position you hold, you help create life-changing transformations.

At our headquarters in Solna Business Park, we are about 350 employees, and together we work to support and develop the authority with approximately 4000 employees.

For us, digitalization is more than technology – it is an enabler for good care and treatment. At the IT and Digitalization Department, about 60 dedicated employees work every day to strengthen the authority's operations.

We are now entering an exciting development phase with an expanded mission for the entire authority. Together, we drive the digital transformation with a focus on secure, accessible, and modern solutions that make a real difference – for employees, young people, and clients.

Job Description

Today, the IT support team consists of 7 employees who provide first and second line support to our entire operation, i.e., both to SiS homes and our headquarters. As an IT administrator at SiS, you will be an important part of a close-knit and well-functioning team. Here, you will work alongside unpretentious and knowledgeable colleagues who support each other.

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in working with IT support and service, as well as a passion for technology.

Your tasks will largely involve handling new hires, terminations, orders, and other administrative tasks within IT. Your role will also include providing first and second line IT support.

  • Installation and troubleshooting of computers, phones, and other IT equipment
  • Technical support in conference rooms and during meetings

We receive cases via phone, visits to our support room, and through our case management system. The work is performed on-site at the office in Solna Business Park.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Broad technical knowledge and interest
  • A high school education
  • Previous experience in technical support or a similar service-oriented profession
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft Office
  • Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing, in Swedish

It is an advantage if you also have experience with:

  • Handling of new hires and terminations
  • Working in a case management system, e.g., Jira
  • Administration in Telia Servicedesk Web or similar
  • Administration in Exchange
  • Permissions administration in Active Directory (AD)
  • Handling and administration of mobile phones
  • Conference room technology
  • Work in the public sector

To succeed in this role, we believe you are service-oriented, attentive, and accommodating in your approach. Therefore, we see that you have a strong interest, willingness, and ability to help others in a pedagogical manner. It is important that you are driven, flexible, meticulous, unpretentious, structured, responsible, and have a well-developed sense of order.

At SiS, high integrity is very important, and you need to be accustomed to handling sensitive information responsibly.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and suitability.

Since the position involves administration and handling of authority cards, a suitability assessment will be conducted in connection with employment, requiring a positive result. Additional requirements for the position are that you have a Swedish personal number and a Swedish registered address.
