IT Support Technician at the Swedish National Board of Institutional Care
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with addiction. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with addiction across the country. With us at SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. At our headquarters in Solna Business Park, we have about 350 employees, and together we work to support and develop the authority with around 4000 employees.
For us, digitalization is more than just technology – it is an enabler for good care and treatment. In the IT and digitalization department, about 60 dedicated employees work every day to strengthen the authority's operations.

Job Description:
Are you passionate about IT, service, and problem-solving? Do you also enjoy daily contact with users and working in a close-knit and well-functioning team with knowledgeable colleagues who support each other? Then you could be our next IT support technician at the headquarters in Solna!
Currently, the IT support team consists of 7 employees who provide technical support to our entire organization, both for SiS homes and our headquarters.
We now need to expand the IT support team with additional staff. Your tasks will include providing first and second line IT support, i.e., troubleshooting and resolving issues. This also includes handling new hires, terminations, orders, and managing authority cards.
You will receive and register cases, engage in dialogue with users, and provide feedback within these areas:
- Installation and troubleshooting of computers, phones, and other IT equipment
- Account management and permissions (AD, Exchange, SharePoint, etc.)
- Technical support in conference rooms and during meetings
- Ordering computers and phones with associated subscriptions
- Handling new hires and authority cards
- Other IT support cases as they arise
An important part of the job is also maintaining records and documenting our procedures, as well as creating instructions. You will act as an advisor and train employees as needed.
We receive cases via phone, visits to our support room, and through our case management system. The work is performed on-site at the office in Solna Business Park.
Qualifications:
We are looking for someone who has:
- Broad technical knowledge and interest
- A high school education with a focus on IT or equivalent work experience deemed relevant by the employer
- At least 1 year of professional experience, preferably more, in IT support
- At least 1 year of experience working in a case management system, e.g., Jira
- Good knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft Office 2021
- Good knowledge of Active Directory
- Experience with conference room technology
- Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
It is advantageous if you also have experience with:
- Administration in SharePoint
- SCCM Client Center and monitor
- Experience in administration in Exchange
- Management and administration of mobile phones
- Experience with Telia Servicedesk Web
- Work in the public sector

You communicate well, both verbally and in writing in Swedish. As the work is varied, you have the ability to quickly grasp new technologies and understand different types of problems. Furthermore, we see that you take great responsibility for your work and drive your processes forward. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.

Since the position involves administration and handling of authority cards, a suitability assessment will be conducted in connection with employment, requiring a satisfactory result. Additional requirements for the position are that you have a Swedish personal identification number and a Swedish registered address.

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time employment and begins with a six-month probationary period. On-call duty may be included. Start date by agreement.
