We are now looking for an experienced system engineer for a consulting assignment with our client in advanced defense and security technology. In this role, you will work with system engineering at the forefront of technology and contribute to the development of complex products where both software and hardware interact.

About the assignment As a system engineer, you will be responsible for developing and documenting system design with a focus on embedded software (C++) and FPGA development (VHDL). The role requires a good understanding of both software and hardware-near systems and involves close collaboration with development teams across several technical disciplines.

You are expected to contribute to system engineering, architectural choices, design descriptions, and technical trade-offs. Although coding is not a requirement for the role, it is advantageous and occurs to varying degrees depending on the project. Experience in signal processing is considered a plus.

  Requirements Senior system engineer, level 4 Experience in system engineering within embedded systems Knowledge of embedded software design (C++) Experience in FPGA development (VHDL) Good hardware understanding Very good ability to document design and technical solutions Coding experience is not required but is an advantage Experience in signal processing is meritorious
