The IT and Digital Development unit is now seeking a service-oriented and engaged System Administrator to support and administer the municipality's centrally managed business and support systems.

About the job

As a System Administrator, your main responsibility is to administer and support systems for the educational activities, such as IST Administration and SchoolSoft, as well as the municipality's shared case management system. You will also be responsible for other systems managed by the unit.

The role involves structured work with configurations and changes in the systems, as well as providing technical support. A significant part of the position is daily support for the municipality's employees and providers within the educational sector. Support is provided via the case management system, email, phone, and in meetings. Contact with system suppliers and collaboration with colleagues in technical infrastructure are also natural parts of the assignment. During major changes or important events during the business year, training initiatives and workshops for users may also be required.

The work of supporting and administering the municipality's business and support systems is carried out in a team of currently six people. The team focuses on helping and relieving each other when needed, even though each person has their specific area of responsibility. For each area, there is a system owner who helps prioritize and organize the work.

Working hours are flexible, allowing for work between 06:00 and 21:00 if the work permits. However, the normal working hours are between 07:30 and 17:00. At special assignments or during larger delivery and change projects, other times and evening work may become relevant.

Who are you?

You have a strong interest in system administration, and a high service level is a natural part of your personality. You want to work with the entire support chain and can handle multiple cases simultaneously without losing focus or compromising on the quality of the delivery. You have the ability to quickly get up to speed with new things.

You are unpretentious and thrive both in independent work and in a team. As a person, you are responsible, meticulous, and always ready to go the extra mile. To succeed in the role, you have the ability to identify problems and solve them in a structured way, with a clear focus on quality and service.

Your qualifications

• Minimum 3-year upper secondary education.
• Several years of experience in system administration.
• Several years of experience in describing the use of systems and technology in a pedagogical way for user support, cheat sheets, and instructions.
• Excellent verbal and written Swedish skills.
• Ability to produce information about, for example, service disruptions and changes with the user's perspective in focus (e.g., "What does this mean for me? What alternatives do I have?").
• Good experience communicating and helping others via phone, email, chat, etc.
• Very good computer skills and the ability to quickly get up to speed with new systems and processes.
• Advantageous: Experience with systems for educational activities, such as student registers and learning platforms.
• Advantageous: Experience with case management systems.
