IT Operations Manager – IT Infrastructure and Operations Collaboration

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you have overall responsibility for leading and coordinating the management of the agency's IT operations agreements, focusing on IT infrastructure. You ensure that our IT environment operates stably and efficiently and that it develops in line with the needs of the organization.

You work closely with both the organization, suppliers, and other management roles, contributing to good governance, follow-up, and collaboration around our shared infrastructure services. The role also involves providing support in both operational and change-related issues and helping to create clarity and smooth workflows.

Application operations are part of the assignment and involve coordination and support within the framework of the IT operations agreement.

Within IT Infrastructure:

  • Coordinate and follow up the delivery of shared infrastructure services such as Active Directory (AD), networks, authentication, platforms, and other central operational services
  • Provide support in matters concerning infrastructure architecture, technical dependencies, and impact assessments during changes
  • Ensure that orders for infrastructure services are clear, contractually compliant, and deliverable within the framework of the IT operations agreement
  • Monitor service levels, capacity, availability, and costs associated with infrastructure services
  • Participate in dialogue and collaboration with representatives from the IT operations supplier in operational and tactical forums focusing on infrastructure

Within Application Operations (Coordinating Role):

  • Coordinate and support work regarding incidents, problems, and changes (change) within the IT operations agreement
  • Participate in and contribute to the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and ensure that changes are handled according to established processes
  • Act as support to the management leader for applications in operational and change-related issues

Overall Responsibility:

  • Ensure that work with the IT operations supplier is conducted according to agreed services, division of responsibilities, and collaboration forms
  • Follow up on deliveries and commitments from the IT operations supplier
  • Work with budgeting, cost follow-up, and management and control of invoices related to IT operations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of work methods, processes, and collaboration models within IT operations

Your Competence

Requirements for Employment

  • University degree in IT/system science or equivalent experience
  • Experience in IT operations, preferably in an organization with outsourced operations
  • Experience in coordination and work with incident, change, and issue processes
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure and infrastructure services such as AD, networks, authentication, and platforms, as well as how these architecturally connect and are governed within an outsourced operational environment
  • Experience working closely with external IT operations suppliers and following up deliveries according to agreements
  • Experience in budget follow-up and management of invoices related to IT services

Meritorious

  • Experience working in public administration or other regulated activities
  • Experience working with IT operations agreements and service descriptions
  • Knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks for IT service management
  • Experience in supplier management and collaboration models
  • Experience working in environments with multiple parallel agreements and roles
  • Basic understanding of information security and how security requirements affect operations and changes

As a person, you are structured and have an easy time communicating with different parts of the organization. You are confident in leading and coordinating work without formal personnel responsibility and have a good overall perspective. You are solution-oriented, long-term in your approach, and have a genuine interest in technology and collaboration.

About the Employment

The employment is a permanent full-time position that begins with a six-month probationary period. The position is located in Stockholm or Östersund. Start date as soon as possible by agreement. We apply individual salary setting.
