Part-time Operator Position in the Riksbank's Statistics Department

WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US

As an operator with us, you will be part of a team that works to produce and publish financial data and statistics. You will primarily work on calculating and publishing the reference rate, Swestr, on a daily basis. You will work in the Riksbank's proprietary system to derive the rate and maintain ongoing contact with the reporting banks. In addition to Swestr, you will also contribute to the ongoing production of other statistics.

Working hours are scheduled between 06:30 – 12:15 on weekdays, and you are expected to work approximately two days a week throughout the year and be prepared to step in at short notice if needed.

YOUR TEAM

The Financial Data and Development unit currently consists of 15 people who work with the collection, production, and analysis of financial data. In this role, you will be part of a student pool with about 3 operators working part-time. You will collaborate with economists and data specialists (data scientists/engineers) and work across departments within the bank.

MORE ABOUT YOU

This position is ideal for you who are studying financial economics, statistics, economics, mathematics, computer engineering, or related fields at a college or university. You have already completed a few years of your studies and have one or two years left. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English and are accustomed to handling and analyzing data. You have basic programming skills and an interest in solving tasks with code in programs like Python or R. You have previous experience combining your studies with work, preferably within the financial sector and/or at a government agency. As a person, you are quality-conscious, responsible, flexible, and structured. You have good judgment and are good at collaborating.

Remote work possibility: No, work is conducted on-site at the Riksbank's premises

The position may be placed in a security class, and a security clearance including background checks, security interviews, and special personal investigations will be conducted for the final candidate. For certain positions, Swedish citizenship is required.
