Domain Architect at the Swedish Central Bank
Do you want to help shape the future infrastructure for data analysis at the Swedish Central Bank in the role of Domain Architect? You will lead the work on the target architecture for your domain, drive technical development, and create modern, scalable solutions in a hybrid environment with high technical maturity. The Central Bank is Sweden's central bank with the mission to ensure low and stable inflation, that the financial system functions effectively, and that payments can be made securely. As a key public authority, we play an essential role in the Swedish economy.
As a Domain Architect, you will have a crucial and leading role in driving the technical transformation through appropriate target architecture and establishing next-generation solutions aimed at improving the Central Bank's analytical capabilities. You will act as a domain architect for one or more business areas where you will drive change efforts to create the Central Bank's future solutions.
At the Central Bank, we work in a modern containerized hybrid environment that combines on-premise and cloud services. Some of the applications we use in the data area include LakeFS, MinIO, Dagster, Jupyter, and OpenMetadata. The working method in the area is based on a high degree of decentralization where central platform teams create conditions for technically competent teams in various parts of the organization. We are open to new technical solutions and strive to quickly develop and launch new capabilities.
WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US

Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the work to continuously develop and implement the target architecture for the analysis and data area
- Work closely with the business to continue developing the organization for data analysis and create data solutions with a high degree of self-service for coding economists and analysts
- Participate in the governance of relevant business areas
- Translate the organization's needs into functional solutions and lead requirements and solution workshops
- Collaborate internally with the business, development teams, and management organization, as well as externally in relevant forums with other authorities and international bodies
- Ensure that IT strategy, governing principles, and guidelines for IT architecture are followed and continuously developed
- Work at strategic, tactical, and operational levels
- Monitor developments in the field
YOUR TEAM
The IT department at the Central Bank is led by an IT manager/CIO and consists of six units led by their respective unit managers. You will belong to the Security and Architecture Unit, where you will work closely with other domain architects, solution architects, information architects, and IT security architects.

You have the ability to see the big picture and a genuine interest in how IT can be used to support business needs, and you are used to working with solution alternatives. You have experience in translating knowledge into practical application with a focus on progress, realization, reusability, and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
- You have extensive experience as a solution architect primarily within open-source-based data platforms and data lakes with both on-premise and cloud as distribution models
- You have several years of practical programming experience
- You have several years of experience in architectural work in an agile context as well as in traditional change projects
- You are proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Education in, for example, computer science, systems science, or other relevant education that the employer deems equivalent
Meritorious
- Experience in requirement specification against suppliers
- Experience working with management organizations
- Experience working in a government agency
- Certification as a solution architect, domain architect, business architect, IT architect, or equivalent
You are proactive and goal- and result-oriented. You are positive, driven, structured, and good at solving complex problems. You are used to leading workshops, documenting, and presenting. You have strong collaboration skills and enjoy working together with others towards a common goal. You also have excellent communication skills. You can discuss technical issues and solutions with both technical specialists and non-technical individuals.

Location: Headquarters at Brunkebergstorg and HK Klara Klarabergsgatan, in central Stockholm
Working hours: Trust-based working hours

The position may be classified in a security class, and a security clearance including background checks, security interviews, and special personal investigations will be conducted for the final candidate. For certain positions, Swedish citizenship is required.
