Your Role

As a Configuration Manager with us, you will have a central and strategic role in ensuring structure, order, and traceability throughout the lifecycle of our systems, products, and services - from early concept and design to development, production, and aftermarket. You specify, establish, and ensure the application of configuration management and act as a cohesive link between technology, administration, and operations.

The role involves leading and guiding the work with requirements, functional structures, configuration items, and associated product configuration information. You are responsible for change management related to product improvements, repairs, and the development of new products, ensuring that changes are analyzed from a holistic perspective with a focus on long-term effects.

You will belong to the Systems Engineering department within the Fighter Core Capabilities business area. Our work culture at Saab is characterized by a serious, long-term, and trust-based approach. You also coordinate and collaborate closely with design, purchasing, manufacturing, and marketing to ensure that the right changes are implemented, documented, and communicated in a structured manner.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is guiding and service-minded, with the ability to build trust and drive work forward together with others. You have a strategic mindset and can see how decisions and changes affect products, processes, and operations in the long term. As a person, you are structured, meticulous, and patient, with an analytical ability that allows you to handle complex information and ensure traceability and quality. The role is coordinating by nature, which requires flexibility and a solution-oriented approach in a changing environment.

You have experience working as a configuration manager or in a similar role and have a good understanding of the purpose and application of configuration management. You have a master's degree in engineering or an equivalent technical background, as well as several years of work experience. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is a merit if you have knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas: configuration management, product lifecycle management, traceability management, and/or PLM systems.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security clearance, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
