Your Role

Within the business unit Fighter Core Capabilities, we develop, among other things, EW (electronic warfare) systems and countermeasures for combat aircraft, systems that are crucial for ensuring the survival of pilots.

As a systems engineer within the HW Functions team, you will work with hardware-near systems engineering, system design, and you will be a central part of the development of our products. You will be involved in all parts of the product lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design to testing, and you will work closely with the production department to support the modification and maintenance of the units.

Your tasks also include:

• Maintaining the overall coherence in the development and product lifecycle through requirements gathering, technical design decisions, and documentation
• Participating in ongoing product development projects
• Providing expert support to our development and production departments
• Taking responsibility for one or more of our central units within the electronic warfare systems

Your Profile

We are looking for a person with a strong drive to contribute to innovation and a passion for embedded systems and product development. With us, you will have the opportunity to shape the next generation of products and be involved in the entire process - from idea to reality. You have a background in systems development and the ability to independently drive tasks forward in a solution-oriented manner. The location will be split between Solna Strand and Järfälla.

Experience and skills we are looking for:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering in technical physics, electronics, or mechatronics.
• Experience in construction, design, testing, functionality, and environmental qualification of hardware
• Experience in product development as well as systems or products containing electronics, software, radio, radar, or similar
• 3+ years as a systems engineer.
• Experience in systems development with many stakeholders
• Good communication and social skills.
• Good knowledge of English and Swedish.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience from a development department within the defense, industrial, rail, automotive, or medtech industry.
• Mobile mechanics for embedded systems.
• Familiarity with systems work according to ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 and INCOSE.
• Experience with aerospace industry standards (such as ARP4754, ARP4761, or DO-254)

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
