About the job
The Swedish Tax Agency has high ambitions to contribute to the digital transformation taking place in Sweden. The IT department of the Swedish Tax Agency is one of the largest in Sweden with around 1700 employees responsible for the development, operation, and management of the agency's IT landscape.
In the IT department, we develop, among other things, digital infrastructure for other authorities and for all of Sweden, and we also collaborate with other authorities. AI solutions for faster and more efficient handling of information, solutions for handling VAT and employer contributions, as well as data warehouses for sharper analyses and better governance.
We work agilely with the support of the SAFe framework, and you will be part of influencing this transformation journey. You will work in a team where you collectively are responsible for both development and management. You will have the opportunity for varied tasks with development environments that encompass several generations of technology, platforms, and tools.
The Swedish Tax Agency is transitioning to a new technical platform based on RHEL and OCP. In the role of software developer, there is an opportunity to develop within container technology. About you

You should also have:
- post-secondary education in IT or equivalent work experience that the employer deems relevant
- several years of current and relevant work experience in programming in Java.
It is desirable that you have experience with GIT, Springboot, OCP, integration, and/or automated testing.
Good to know
The employment is permanent and may start with a six-month probationary period.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
