The pediatric and adolescent medical services at Skåne University Hospital, Sus, has approximately 500 employees. We treat children and adolescents aged 0-18 with diseases in specialized areas from a holistic perspective, including medical, nursing, psychological, social, special education, and humanitarian aspects.

The play therapy is an educational service for children and adolescents, as well as their siblings and guardians, who are at the hospital. The service is organized within the pediatric medicine area but works across the entire pediatric care sector. Through play, creativity, and relationship-building, the educators support children and adolescents in their situations from a salutogenic perspective. We are nine employees, including leisure educators, preschool teachers, and special educators, distributed across the units in Malmö and Lund.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome a new colleague who can work with us.

The position at the play therapy involves working pedagogically to provide stimulation and support for the continued development of children and adolescents in close collaboration with the entire family. You will offer your support during hospital stays, and the work takes place both in the play therapy and on the care ward. Working to provide pedagogical support in collaboration with healthcare staff and guardians of children and young people with pronounced healthcare anxiety is included. You will work both independently and together with colleagues and other professional categories. Currently, the position is primarily in Lund, but work may also be assigned in Malmö.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a preschool or leisure educator degree, preferably with additional training in special education. Furthermore, you have professional experience working in preschool or leisure activities. You have knowledge and experience of alternative and augmentative communication. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required for the role.
