The Education Administration is responsible for, among other things, preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, secondary school, and adapted secondary school. The responsibility also includes student health, mother tongue instruction, school transport, and school meals. We work to create an inspiring learning environment for approximately 10,000 children and students. We have a strong vision of building knowledge and creating dreams.

Knowledge - Community - Joy - are guiding principles that permeate teaching in all departments and all grades in the Principal Area of Skegrie.
Our preschool children receive instruction on sustainability issues in collaboration with Green Flag, and movement is an important part of all teaching at the school. The school is a member of both Pep and the movement initiative. Our principal area offers meals close to children and students as all our units have their own kitchens.
Skegrie School is a K-9 school with an associated after-school program. We actively work to be a school of the times, and the school's students learn in many different ways, both digitally and with pen and paper, and learning occurs in interaction. The school actively works with social interaction and has organized break activities every school day. We believe in good contact between school and home and regularly inform guardians about teaching and activities at the school. Approximately 470 students aged 6 to 15 attend the school, of which about 240 have after-school care.
You will be welcomed by a cheerful group with good cohesion. We help each other when needed and always have close access to laughter. We offer you a good working environment with stimulating tasks.
Job Responsibilities
Your tasks will consist of planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in grade 5 and adapting the learning environment according to each student's individual needs. You will collaborate with other teachers in the grade as well as the school's student health team. Together with the team, you will contribute to creating a whole around the student. Your work involves inspiring and motivating students towards the goal that everyone should reach the knowledge goals, develop as individuals, and feel that the school provides a sense of coherence. To succeed in the assignment, you need to create trusting relationships both inside and outside the school. You will have close cooperation with guardians regarding students' learning and development.
Qualifications
We are looking for a licensed teacher qualified to teach in grades 4-6 in social studies and English. It is an advantage if you have several years of experience working in schools. As a person, you are development-oriented, positive, and have good communication skills as well as the ability to see the whole picture. You thrive in an environment that places high demands on responsibility, flexibility, decisiveness, and social competence.
You have good communication skills, take great personal responsibility, are independent, and easily adapt to the environment and changing conditions. You are clear in your leadership, create a meaningful and stimulating activity, and adapt teaching and learning environments according to different students' individual needs.
You have the ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues and meet them professionally and respectfully. You practice a conscious pedagogy to achieve set goals.
