Your role with us

As a special education teacher, you will work with students in grades F–9 and contribute with guidance from a holistic perspective. You will be part of our dedicated student health team, where we together create a safe and stimulating learning environment. The team consists of special educators, special education teachers, school nurses, counselors, school psychologists, and principals – a close collaboration that makes a difference.

In your daily work, you will among other things:

• Support and guide teachers in working with students in need of special support.
• Participate in assessments and action plans to promote learning.
• Be a qualified conversation partner in educational matters regarding reading, writing, and mathematics development.
• Work purposefully to create a good teaching and learning environment.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is a trained special education teacher with a focus on mathematics and preferably has experience in Swedish. You are confident, responsible, and passionate about making a difference for students. You enjoy collaborating, are attentive, and have the ability to drive work forward. Experience in Montessori pedagogy is a plus!

The Department of Children and Education is responsible for the municipality's preschools, primary schools, high schools, adapted schools, and cultural schools. Hässleholm Montessori School is a municipal primary school with grades F-9 and after-school care. About 300 students attend the school. We all work with Maria Montessori's pedagogy as a starting point in, for example; interaction, consideration, and respect for each other and for the school's environment, students should feel belonging, well-being, and achieve optimal learning. We work largely in mixed-age groups. The school is located in central Hässleholm with good train and bus connections.
