The Nursing Program belongs to the Faculty of Health Sciences at Kristianstad University. The faculty offers education at undergraduate, advanced, and doctoral levels in nursing, public health, oral health, and social sciences. There are also master's programs in integrated health sciences and specialist nursing programs focused on district nursing and elderly care. At Kristianstad University, we are proud of Hälsopunkten – our student-led health center where nursing students meet the public with a focus on health and lifestyle habits. We also have a modern clinical training center and simulation activities. The education also includes a comprehensive course focusing on supervision, ethics, leadership, and profession (HELP).

Within the nursing program, there is a clinical training branch in Helsingborg and Ängelholm, in collaboration with Kristianstad University. The purpose is to strengthen the quality of the clinical training by having the university's lecturers, in their role as assessing teachers, closer to the students and the organizations. Job Responsibilities

As a lecturer in nursing, you will teach in the nursing program, primarily within the undergraduate education and clinical placements (VFU). The work includes various teaching forms – from lectures, seminars, and workshops to practical skills training and scenario training in method and simulation environments. Teaching is based at Kristianstad University's campus, but online teaching may also occur.

A significant part of the position involves being an assessing teacher during students' clinical placements in hospitals, primary care, and municipal activities. You will also supervise bachelor's theses, assess students' performances, and participate in course development and administrative work.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

We are looking for you who are a licensed specialist nurse with a master's degree in nursing or a related field. You have current experience of clinical work as a nurse, and it is advantageous if you have also worked as a specialist nurse. Supervision training or experience in supervising students or colleagues is also seen as an advantage.

You express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish, and you are a confident computer user. Since you need to be able to travel to various clinical placement sites, a B driver's license is required. University pedagogical training is advantageous – if you lack it, we offer the opportunity to study at least 15 credits within the first two years of employment as part of your professional development.

Additional Information

The position is a permanent full-time employment. A probationary period is usually applied. Start date is by agreement. The placement is at our beautiful campus in Kristianstad with good parking opportunities and proximity to bus and train. Some teaching may be scheduled for evenings or weekends and also at locations other than Kristianstad. We also welcome applicants from northwestern Skåne as some tasks such as clinical placements may be located there in both hospitals, primary care, and municipalities.
