Substitute for Student Housing at Svalöv High School

Svalöv High School and adult education, located in shared premises, has approximately 800 students. The school offers four national programs: the Nature Management Program, the Vehicle and Transport Program, the Construction and Civil Engineering Program, and the Electrical and Energy Program. There are also four introductory programs that prepare students for further high school studies or work. Additionally, the school offers three programs in adapted high school: Forestry, Land and Animals, Vehicle and Goods Handling, and the Individual Program. Adult education includes Swedish for immigrants (SFI), basic and high school courses, and vocational training.

About 110 high school students live in the student housing at Svalöv High School during the week.

The school employs approximately 135 staff members, all dedicated to the best interests of the students. The school has developed clear structures and strategies towards set goals to ensure that all students succeed in their studies and sees systematic quality work, value-based work, and formative teaching as important processes. The work teams have their own premises and workspaces and are responsible for their own budgets and scheduling. Mentorship is a central part of our students' well-being and success.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a substitute for the school's student housing. The student housing is essential for students with longer commutes to complete their education. The student housing is open Monday to Friday and staffed from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, students travel home.

In the evenings, five staff members work at our various accommodations, housing about 110 high school students, some of whom have special needs. We are a well-functioning, knowledgeable, and safe team, and we will be your closest colleagues.

In addition to evening staff, we also have night staff. As an employee here, you are one of the school's staff members, and we expect good collaboration between students, guardians, educators, and other school staff. Staff ensure the safety of students in the housing and contribute to providing them with a meaningful leisure time during the week.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a trustworthy adult with experience working with youth. Education in pedagogy and/or social work is a plus. You need to be a team player, believe in and uphold the school's values, be straightforward and clear, and you should not have difficulties setting boundaries, but at the same time, you need to be relationship-building and have a genuine interest in people and development.

Working hours are from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM, Monday to Thursday, with exceptions during school holidays when it may involve daytime hours. The position is a substitute role.
