JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to help strengthen the health, self-confidence, and joy of movement for young girls in Burlöv municipality?

We are looking for someone who wants to lead and develop GRL - Community and Movement for Girls - an important initiative to increase physical activity, well-being, and participation among girls aged 12-20.

As a dance and movement leader, you will be a safe adult, a role model, and a relationship-building force in both school and leisure.

You will lead non-demanding dance sessions and simpler movement activities, build trust, inspire movement, and create a welcoming environment where young girls feel free to be themselves. Part of the assignment takes place within Dance for Health, a research-based method where dance is used to strengthen mental well-being among young people.

The work is as much about interaction and relationships as it is about dance. You need to be attentive, flexible, and engaged, and have the competence to create safe, inclusive groups. We prefer that you have a pedagogical background.

You will work closely with schools, student health, youth centers, and the Culture School, becoming a link between the girls and the municipality's offerings. You will be responsible for 2-3 dance groups per week, some presence in the school environment, and simpler activities together with young leader assistants whom you will also mentor. Throughout the year, you will build structures that allow the operations to continue sustainably. The work will partly take place after school hours, mainly in the afternoon/evening.

The position is 50% for one year, with the possibility of extension.

The workplace is primarily in Arlöv, where the need and engagement are high.

You will belong to the Culture School and be part of a cheerful and creative team that works together to provide children and young people in Burlöv municipality the opportunity to gain an extra language, a cultural expression. We work together on various projects, which means you can find community and collaborations that extend beyond your own area. A large part of our focus is also on the joint development work carried out in the Culture and Leisure Administration.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• has experience working with young people
• has dance competence and can lead non-demanding movement sessions
• has pedagogical education
• is relationship-building and confident in meeting the target group
• is used to working in multicultural environments
• is flexible, proactive, and social
• enjoys collaborating with schools, leisure, and associations
• preferably has experience and training in Dance for Health
