Ängelholm High School has motivated students and knowledgeable staff. Our high school programs are located in three different school units; Rönnegymnasiet, Valhall College, and Victoriaskolan. We have good results and strive to develop our operations in line with the changing world. The school receives media attention for both good initiatives from teachers and successful results among students. The interest in our programs is strong.

Our adapted high school consists of four national programs and one individual program. The national programs are located at Rönnegymnasiet, centrally located in Ängelholm.

Here we work in class teams where special teachers, student assistants, and social pedagogues collaborate with various professionals in student health to promote a good learning environment for the students.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone qualified to teach in the adapted high school's national programs. You will primarily teach the common subjects such as Swedish, social studies, English, and mathematics. It is an advantage if you are a trained special teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities.

The position involves teaching in one of the adapted high school's national programs. The role includes mentorship and program responsibility for Society, Nature, and Language. You should be good at working in a team with student assistants. You will be part of a work team with several special educators/special teachers where there is a good and open working climate. Together, you will work to develop the adapted high school's educational activities in line with Gy25.

You have a good understanding and knowledge of the adapted high school's governing documents and apply them in your daily work, as well as work based on scientific principles and proven experience. You are creative and can adapt your approach and your pedagogical methods and techniques based on the individual student's or student group's needs. We expect you to have a positive view of students and see each student from a holistic perspective. You create good relationships with students and are professional in your interactions with guardians and colleagues. You are a natural leader in the classroom for both students and student assistants.

QUALIFICATIONS

Special teacher with a focus on developmental disabilities, with subject qualifications in the common subjects such as Swedish, social studies, and mathematics, or equivalent experience and competence. It is possible that you are in training or interested in further studies as mentioned above.

You have good computer skills and experience using IT in your teaching. It is essential that you have a good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

Experience working in an adapted school is an advantage.
