Coordinator for Municipal Activity Responsibility (KAA)

We are looking for an engaged and structured coordinator for the Municipal Activity Responsibility (KAA). With us, you will be an important part of the work to support young people aged 16-20 who have not completed their high school studies or lack a high school diploma. Together, we work to create guidance, motivation, and opportunities for young people to find the right path forward.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of coordinator, you are responsible for motivating and supporting young people towards studies or meaningful employment. The assignment includes, among other things;

• conducting guiding, motivating, and supportive conversations.
• coordinating efforts such as internships, contacting other community actors, and individual support measures.
• contributing to the municipality offering individually tailored measures primarily aimed at helping young people start or resume their studies.
• documenting efforts and processes professionally.
• collaborating closely with schools, guardians, and other relevant actors.
• working with internships.
• development work.

In addition to this, the work includes some administrative tasks such as documentation in UKA (a digital system for documentation and follow-up within KAA), drafting agreements with folk high schools and internship placements, etc. It is a varied and very important job.

Your Workplace

As a coordinator, you will work in the Municipal Activity Responsibility (KAA) in a group of three people, and the position is centrally located with an office at Stångs magasin. You will be part of a team consisting of 7 employees, where 3 work as coordinators in the Municipal Activity Responsibility and 3.5 work in the reception group for introductory programs, with placement/reception of students to introductory programs for students who are not fully qualified.

In your role as a coordinator within KAA, you will work with young people who are registered in Linköping municipality aged 16-20, who have not started or for some reason have completed their high school studies before obtaining a diploma. This is to offer measures that will lead to high school studies. Organizationally, you belong to Central Student Health.

Who You Are

You have a university degree in the behavioral sciences or have other education that the employer assesses as equivalent and relevant. You have experience and good knowledge of the school system regarding the age group 16-20 years. Furthermore, we want you to have good knowledge of the labor market for young people. We also want you to have experience working with young people in guiding and mentoring conversations and that you have experience working with youth with NPF diagnoses. The work requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as the job involves contact with external actors and citizens as well as documentation. It is an advantage if you have a driver's license as the position includes some visits to various actors.

You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to find solutions. Your experience makes it easy for you to understand the situation and perspective of young people, while you create and maintain a professional relationship with youth, guardians, and partners. As a person, you are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach. You easily adapt to changing circumstances and stand by what is said and dare to speak up.
