Professional Galaxy is looking for a Mechatronics Engineer on behalf of our client.

We need to strengthen our Oil and Cooling system team with an experienced mechatronic hardware developer.

Required Skills: •You have a M.Sc. (http://M.Sc) in Product Development or similar. •You have experience in the development of fluid components such as pumps, valves, or other relevant components giving you a good level of understanding of component features. This includes understanding of fluid systems and requirements, component testing, technical documentation as well as technical negotiations with suppliers. •You have experience in the development of mechatronic parts with SMART actuators including technical requirements and verification and validation of software. •You have worked with supplier-developed components and with SOW (statement of work). •Basic knowledge in Creo is an advantage.

The main tasks are:

• Together with the team, you will develop oil and cooling system components. This role includes development tasks from early stage to maintenance. We are product owners meaning that we have a big responsibility for our parts and to align with our colleagues in other functions such as purchasing, customer quality, and operations.

• We believe that you are a person with a curious mindset, self-driven with a can-do attitude. In your previous employments, you have developed analytical skills and learned the importance of developing new technical products in a structured and organized way. Former positions have given you a good level of understanding of component features. You pay attention to details and can take necessary actions when required.

• The Oil and Cooling system group is part of the Base Engine department based in Gothenburg. The group has global design and system responsibility for oil and cooling functions within heavy-duty combustion engines. This includes several components within the fluid segment. We cooperate with purchasing, projects, test engineers, and suppliers as well as our colleagues at the sites in France, USA, and Brazil. Our products are used in more than 190 markets and considered to be part of the core business.
