JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to work with modern IT in a culturally rich and creative environment? Do you enjoy varied support work while also wanting to work operationally with our digital workplace? Then this could be the role for you.

The Museum of World Culture is now looking for an IT Support Technician who will become an important part of our IT team. With us, you will combine daily user support with ongoing operations and management of our digital workplace, contributing to creating a stable, secure, and modern technical environment for the entire agency.

You will be part of a team of three people who together are responsible for support and operations of the agency's IT environment. The role involves both hands-on support and more structured work with computers, mobile devices, applications, and the services that make up our digital workplace.

The position is based in Gothenburg, and travel is required.

Operational work with the digital workplace

  • Participate in the daily work with our digital workplace
  • Ensure that computers and mobile devices are installed, updated, and comply with established standards
  • Participate in the work with program installations, updates, and rollouts
  • Contribute to improvements in routines and working methods
  • Work with lifecycle management of equipment (installation, replacement, preparations)

IT support and operational support

  • Support for computers, mobile phones, and peripherals
  • Installation and maintenance of IT equipment
  • Administration of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and MDM solutions
  • Support via phone, remote control, Teams, and physical meetings
  • Installation and troubleshooting of video conferencing systems

QUALIFICATIONS

Mandatory requirements, formal

  • At least a two-year post-secondary degree in IT or equivalent that the employer deems relevant for the position
  • 2 - 3 years of work experience in IT support in a similar role
  • Experience working with
    • Active Directory
    • Microsoft 365 Admin Center
    • Basic knowledge of Windows Server OS server components DHCP, DNS, GPO
    • Troubleshooting and support in Windows client environments
    • Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English

Desirable

  • Troubleshooting and support of Android, macOS, and iOS
  • Experience working with Microsoft Intune, Entra, Teams Admin, SharePoint Online, and Exchange Online
  • Experience working with MDM solutions
  • Basic understanding of LAN and WiFi environments
  • Understanding of server virtualization
