One of the Army Staff's focus areas is to build the new Army. An army that focuses on the Army's capability in the field and in this builds new as well as restructure existing units. At the same time, the Army Staff leads units both nationally and internationally. The Army Staff develops and manages the Army's war units and subordinate organizational units consisting of units and schools.

The above, combined with continuing to establish the Army Staff as a cohesive and unifying force, makes the tasks very varied, developing, and dynamic.

About the position

As a Technical Systems Leader Strv (TSL), you have an independent responsibility to plan and structure your work. The position is complex and requires you to quickly switch between different tasks and perspectives. You will undergo necessary training to fully assume the role. The position includes travel, including overnight stays, as the work involves frequent contacts and meetings with the Armed Forces, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), and the defense industry – both digitally and on-site. Here you will be part of a close-knit team where we collaborate closely but have different areas of responsibility.

Main responsibilities

As TSL, you have an administrative responsibility for managing and maintaining technical equipment. Within the maintenance operation, you plan and follow up on annual inspections, repairs, and availability of spare parts. You also allocate equipment to the locations where it is needed, based on operational needs.

Within management, you ensure that the equipment is functional throughout its lifecycle. You make decisions on maintenance actions, repairs, and any component replacements. You are also involved in projects related to upgrades or new development of systems and materials.

A central part of the role is to provide technical system support to users, industry partners, FMV, and maintenance organizations – making you a key person in the technical chain.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education with a technical focus or other education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
• Good ability to work in digital systems, especially the Office suite
• Driving license B

Meritorious

We view positively experience in material maintenance within the Armed Forces, preferably from a leading or planning role. Experience from unit operations and practical application of the Armed Forces' support systems, particularly SAP/PRIO and LIFT, is highly meritorious. It is an advantage if you have worked with the relevant material system and have specific expertise in related maintenance issues.

Good knowledge of the Armed Forces' material supply and material processes is desirable, as well as experience in system safety work.
