Here, you will work alongside colleagues in the departments of communication, HR, IT, finance, procurement, and property management, as well as the departments of quality and planning, sustainability, safety, security, and preparedness, and the secretariat. The Municipal Management Office also houses the organizations for business and destination, as well as shared services. The Municipal Management Office is the link between our elected representatives' decisions and all municipal operations. We are looking for someone with a special interest in labor law who wants to work with a wide range of labor law issues. Here, you will have the opportunity to join a team of competent labor law specialists and collaborate with many dedicated colleagues across the HR department. Your mission
As a specialist in labor law, you will have a dynamic and significant role where you work from an employer's perspective and provide qualified advice on labor law, primarily to other employees in the HR department. You will have the opportunity to work on various assignments and provide support on a wide range of issues within the labor law area, such as questions regarding working hours, leave, initiation and termination of employment, as well as issues concerning rights and obligations during employment. You will also provide advice and support in personnel matters, including misconduct.
You will collaborate with other specialists in HR to develop and improve working methods in areas where labor law issues play a central role. This is an opportunity for you who want to contribute to a successful and legally sound employer policy within Uppsala Municipality.
Your background
To thrive in this role, we are looking for someone with a degree in a relevant field and very good knowledge of labor law. For this position, you also need to have experience in negotiation and have worked within municipal or regional operations. You should also have a good understanding of collective labor law.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who is good at seeing connections and solving complex questions and problems. You weigh complex information and different types of considerations and show judgment in statements, actions, and decisions. Furthermore, you are a communicative and coaching person who finds it easy to listen and adapt your way of communicating. It is important that you are clear and ensure that your message is conveyed correctly.
We also see that you are analytical and can translate legal and contractual text into practical operations, while having a strong sense of consequences. You see collaboration as a way to increase value among colleagues, but also for the organization as a whole. Finally, you have the ability to remain calm and composed in various situations and can focus on the right things.
