Our Operations
The mission of the Safety and Environmental Unit is to support the hospital's management and operations in matters concerning the hospital's safety and environmental work as well as crisis preparedness. Safety deals with issues including fire safety, threats and violence, theft, burglary, access control, data protection, and information security.
Your Mission
The role of Safety Coordinator involves working across the hospital and being a support to operations and managers within the safety area. This includes personal safety, fire safety, access control, and conducting internal investigations within the safety area. The position is located in the Safety and Environmental Unit.
The Safety Coordinator works on behalf of the Safety Manager of Akademiska Sjukhuset to support the operations and managers in the administration by:
- Supporting the development of routines and instructions
- Coordinating, initiating, and participating in training within the safety area
- Monitoring trends and risks in safety
- Participating in and conducting internal audits of safety work within the operations
- Following up and analyzing deviations, proposing improvements and actions
- Participating in internal and external networks related to safety work
- Developing and drafting governing documents within the area of responsibility
- Setting requirements for internal functions and external suppliers regarding safety
- Collaborating with relevant authorities and external actors on safety issues
- Participating in projects during renovations and new constructions
Your Qualifications
You have relevant academic education or equivalent for the work and good experience in safety work, preferably with an emphasis on fire safety, access control, gases, and personal safety. We are looking for someone with broad experience in safety issues and who has worked with systematic safety work, management systems, and risk management. You are used to participating in and leading development work in a dynamic organization. Experience in risk and vulnerability analyses and continuity planning, as well as work with fire safety and gases, is advantageous.

The position is a permanent employment and start date will be agreed upon. The position is classified in a security class. This means that a security assessment and background check will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Swedish citizenship is required for the position.
